Howie Perlin

Howie celebrates more than 40 years in the travel business and says, “I’ve done everything but fly the darned airplane.” Being part of the Travel Square One is a natural evolution after some 30 years representing a variety of international companies to retail travel professionals. Now he’s proud to be a consultant again with his best colleagues.
The exotic, especially Africa and the Middle East, are his travel passions. He relishes the challenge of the offbeat and exotic, whether it’s two cousins in their 80’s on an archeological journey to Israel and Jordan or sending his wife and her best friend to Papua Niugini, Bali and Sulawesi. He has been active in the Association for the Promotion of Travel to Africa (APTA} and is a past chapter president.
Howie and his wife, Susan, are long-time residents of Oakland, but of late have been shuttling to visit their granddaughter in Mesa, AZ. A trek to see the Mountain Gorillas is at the top of their bucket list.
